Q. When I click on the info selected from the drop down menu, a pop up message appears “Pop-up blocked.
To see this pop-up or additional options click here” What should I do?
This feature is incorporated by your web browser to stop those annoying adverts that open new browser windows and cause clutter for you. Unfortunately there’s very little developers can do to avoid this if they wish for something useful to display in a new window. Upon receiving this message you will notice a Yellow bar appear at the top of your browser window, if you click this you will see a drop down menu, one of the options will say
“Always allow pop-ups for www.autolibrary.com.au” press this and then click the selected info again, it will work properly now and you will not see the pop message again. If you choose the Temporarily allow pop-up option, then you will get the same pop up message again each time you select the info.
Q. Some of the diagrams are not displaying in my browser, what can I do?
You will need a pdf reader such as Adobe Reader to view the pdf diagrams. The majority of users will already have a pdf reader installed on their computer. If you are not able to view the diagrams, it is possible that you may need to install or reinstall the pdf reader.
The latest version of Adobe Reader can be downloaded for free: http://get.adobe.com/reader/

Q. How long does it take to display the technical diagrams?
This would depend on your internet connection and how stable it is. It is not suitable for dial up (56Kbps). If you have ADSL, cable or broadband then it should display quickly. But once again that depends on how reliable your internet provider is. We recommend that you trial the Auto Library to see for yourself. It is free to register for an online demo.

We will notify you via email with a warning, if unauthorised logons are repeatedly detected, your account will be permanently suspended. You will not receive a refund.
Q. I cant find the (import) vehicle I am working on?
Information on import vehicle can sometimes be hard to obtain. We're constantly updating our database. If you can not find the vehicle by name , try to find it by using the “search by engine number” function. Sometimes the same car may have a different name in another country. Eg In Australia it is called Holden Vectra, but in Europe it is called Vauxhall Vectra or Opel Vectra. Go to the “General” tab to see the list of car names by country.
Q. Can I access the fault code on the vehicle manually?
Not all fault codes can be accessed manually. Certain vehicle requires a scan tool to access the faults codes. This information can be found in Auto Library.
Q. Why does the website not display correctly on my computer?
A. The website is optimized for use at 1024x768 resolution, using the Firefox web browser, which can be downloaded for free: http://www.getfirefox.com
If you are using Internet Explorer 6, it may display out of alignment. Please update to Internet Explorer 7.
Note: Firefox allows multiple tabs to be open at the same time on the 1 window. This is ideal for displaying the different data selected, as you can easily see what you have opened. Internet Explorer can only open new windows, which is not ideal as you need to switch between the windows.
Q. I am unable to print. What should I do?
You should first check if you are able to print from other programs, open Microsoft Word for example and try to print a test page. If you can’t print from other applications then it may be a problem with your cabling or the printer itself. Ensure that the printer is turning on and that the cable from the printer to the computer is plugged in.
If you are able to print from another application then it may be a problem with your internet browser, when you choose to print, a box will appear listing your selected printer, ensure this is the printer you wish to use.
Some of the technical diagrams contained within the website are quite large in their display size and therefore may not print properly on a single page.
If you are using Firefox to view the website you may go to the File > Print Preview menu which will give you an idea how the diagram will fit on a single page. If it doesn’t fit properly you can choose the “Shrink to Fit” option, but doing so may cause the image to print out distorted so use with caution.

If you are using Internet Explorer to view the website there is no “Shrink to Fit” option as there is in Firefox, however you can edit the page margins in the File > Page Setup menu, below is a screen capture showing you a sample of how you can set up your margins to get more printing onto one page.
