Pop Up Message “Pop-up blocked”
This can happened if you try to open the info/diagram link.
The yellow bar will appear at the top of your browser window, if you click this you will see a drop down menu, one of the options will say “Always allow pop-ups for www.autolibrary.com.au” press this and then click the selected info/diagram again.

It will work properly now and you will NOT see the pop message again on any info/diagram from the autolibrary website.
If you choose the “Temporarily allow pop-up” option, then you will get the same pop up message again each time you select the info/diagram.
VERY IMPORTANT: How to log out properly.
It is important that you log out properly by clicking on the “Logout” blue button located near the top right hand side (under the autolibrary banner)
If you click the x button to close the main/home page (with the autolibrary banner), then it will close the window but you are NOT logged out. This means if you try to login again, access will be denied, because you did not log out properly. (It still thinks you are still logged in). It will lock you out for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, you can login again.
Q. When I click on the info selected from the drop down menu, a pop up message appears “Pop-up blocked.
To see this pop-up or additional options click here” What should I do?
This feature is incorporated by your web browser to stop those annoying adverts that open new browser windows and cause clutter for you. Unfortunately there’s very little developers can do to avoid this if they wish for something useful to display in a new window. Upon receiving this message you will notice a Yellow bar appear at the top of your browser window, if you click this you will see a drop down menu, one of the options will say
“Always allow pop-ups for www.autolibrary.com.au” press this and then click the selected info again, it will work properly now and you will not see the pop message again. If you choose the Temporarily allow pop-up option, then you will get the same pop up message again each time you select the info.
Q. Some of the diagrams are not displaying in my browser, what can I do?
You will need a pdf reader such as Adobe Reader to view the pdf diagrams. The majority of users will already have a pdf reader installed on their computer. If you are not able to view the diagrams, it is possible that you may need to install or reinstall the pdf reader.
The latest version of Adobe Reader can be downloaded for free: http://get.adobe.com/reader/
Q. What is Auto Library and how does it work?
Auto Library is an online software subscription allowing you to access technical data from over 17,000 model variants. Click on the “Software Info” button located at the top for more details.
We have designed it in a simple & straightforward format.
Step1 Select the vehicle.
Step2. Choose the type of data eg specs , repairs , wiring
Step3. View data online or print it out.
Q. Can I try the Auto Library before I sign up?
Yes! We recommend that you trial it first, that way you get to see what you are getting and how cost effective it is for your business.
Just click on the “Try demo online” button. You do not need to register to try it.
Q. Do I get to see everything when I am trialing the Auto Library?
No, you can only see data for the sample vehicles. However you can also see the full vehicle index and see exactly what data coverage we have for the specific model.
Q. Ok, I have trialed it. How do I sign up?
Click on the “Subscribe Now” button.
Q. How long does the online subscription last?
The subscription is for 12 months. After that time you will not be able to access the data, until you have renewed your subscription. Once you renew, you can use the same login and password. When you are about to expire, we will notify you. We do not automatically deduct your credit card every year.
Q. Do I get any updates with the online subscription?
Yes, we regularly update our database (Excluding Unibody Dimensions).
There is no charge to receive the updates.
Q. I have 3 computers at my workshop. Can I access it from all three?
The user Licence is issued to a single personal computer from the single site or address stated on the registration or subscription form. The Licence is restricted to the single personal computer (Original PC) from which you first used the Username and Password to access the Website. Should Your Original PC crash, be reformatted or no longer operational You will need to contact BOYCE to reset the Original PC. BOYCE will not be responsible for any delays in resetting the Original PC and You will not get an extension of time.
Q. What if I want to access all 3 computers at the same time?
Currently we only offer a limit of 1 single user Licence per Subscription.
However in the future we will allow multiple user Licences at an additional fee.
Q. Once I login, how long before I will be automatically cut off?
If no activity is detected, then after 20 mins it will automatically logoff.
This means you will need to login again.
Q. How long does it take to display the technical diagrams?
This would depend on your internet connection and how stable it is. It is not suitable for dial up (56Kbps). If you have ADSL, cable or broadband then it should display quickly. But once again that depends on how reliable your internet provider is. We recommend that you trial the Auto Library to see for yourself. You do not need to register to try the demo online.
Q. I don’t have fast internet. Can I access Auto Library in any other way?
No, not at this point but that may change, so it is worth sending us an email.
Currently we only offer the subscription on CD/DVD to our Australian, New Zealand & South Pacific clients.
Q. What is an unauthorised logon?
Every paid subscriber gets a unique login and password that they must keep secure. If you give your password to someone else and they login in with your password then it is unauthorized. We have measures put in place to detect any unusual activity.
Q. What happens if an unauthorised logon is detected?
If an unauthorised login is detected or suspected, then your account will be permanently suspended. You will not receive a refund.
Q. I cant find the (import) vehicle I am working on?
Information on import vehicle can sometimes be hard to obtain. We're constantly updating our database. If you can not find the vehicle by name , try to find it by using the “search by engine number” function. Sometimes the same car may have a different name in another country. Eg In Australia it is called Holden Vectra, but in Europe it is called Vauxhall Vectra or Opel Vectra. Go to the “General” tab to see the list of car names by country.
Q. Can I access the fault code on the vehicle manually?
Not all fault codes can be accessed manually. Certain vehicle requires a scan tool to access the faults codes. This information can be found in Auto Library.
Q. Why does the website not display correctly on my computer?
A. The website is optimized for use at 1024x768 resolution, using the Firefox web browser, which can be downloaded for free: http://www.getfirefox.com
If you are using Internet Explorer 6, it may display out of alignment. Please update to Internet Explorer 7.
Note: Firefox allows multiple tabs to be open at the same time on the 1 window. This is ideal for displaying the different data selected, as you can easily see what you have opened. Internet Explorer can only open new windows, which is not ideal as you need to switch between the windows.
To change your screen resolution please follow the instructions below:
(Windows XP)
1. Right-click the desktop, and then click Properties.
2. In the Display Properties dialog box, click the Settings tab.
3. Drag the Screen resolution slider to the left to decrease the resolution of your monitor, making text and pictures appear larger. Or drag the Screen resolution slider to the right to increase your monitor’s resolution, making text and pictures appear smaller.
4. Click Apply to have the new resolution take effect.
5. If the Monitor Settings dialog box appears, look at your display. If you like the new resolution, click Yes. If you do not like the resolution, click No, and return to step 3 to try a different resolution.
6. Click OK.
(Windows Vista)
1. Open Display Settings by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, clicking Personalization, and then clicking Display Settings.
2. Under Resolution, move the slider to the resolution you want, and then click Apply.
Q. I am unable to print. What should I do?
You should first check if you are able to print from other programs, open Microsoft Word for example and try to print a test page. If you can’t print from other applications then it may be a problem with your cabling or the printer itself. Ensure that the printer is turning on and that the cable from the printer to the computer is plugged in.
If you are able to print from another application then it may be a problem with your internet browser, when you choose to print, a box will appear listing your selected printer, ensure this is the printer you wish to use.
Some of the technical diagrams contained within the website are quite large in their display size and therefore may not print properly on a single page.
If you are using Firefox to view the website you may go to the File > Print Preview menu which will give you an idea how the diagram will fit on a single page. If it doesn’t fit properly you can choose the “Shrink to Fit” option, but doing so may cause the image to print out distorted so use with caution.

If you are using Internet Explorer to view the website there is no “Shrink to Fit” option as there is in Firefox, however you can edit the page margins in the File > Page Setup menu, below is a screen capture showing you a sample of how you can set up your margins to get more printing onto one page.
